Every grocery store has these big slab of meat just hanging there. They are obviously cured since they aren't refrigerated, but I've never seen anything like it in the states. Not sure I'd want to, either.
And really finally....this is staged, but we couldn't resist using one of the Gaudi-designed benches (you know how much Gene loves Gaudi by his reacdtion to the Temple de a Sagruda Familia) to add to the collection.

Hate American ham! Love Spanish ham! They hang in bars and restaurants as well as stores. We had one and tried and tried to get the hang of carving it to no avail. There is an actual profession of being really good at carving the paper-thin pieces of ham at fancy parties.
